Building Your Gorilla
Donor - Build a Gorilla with Almost Any Pickup or SUV
Urban Gorilla has several configurations to enable you to use almost any make or model pickup or SUV that has a separate frame. The best donor depends on you and what you will do with your Gorilla. Also, you are able to mix and match the different options. For example, you can get a Sport body with a foot Stretch and the Quick Swap option. Here is a breakdown of the different Gorilla Styles and the most typical donors:
- 4-Door: Suburban, SUV's, and Pickups around 130" wheelbase (normally 123" on up)
- 2-Door: From about 95" wheelbase on up (Blazer, Bronco, Short-bed pickups or even longer wheelbases where you want an extra long bed)
- Sport: From 72" on up (versus regular 84") wide body for compact trucks (Ranger, S-10, Toyota, Dakota...) or even use on full-size donors
- Stretch: Stretch the body between the doors or in the front or back of the bed area (helpful for longer-wheelbases or for more room in bed or to use larger gas tanks)
- Quick Swap: Cut off the windshield posts and the back of the cab/body then drop on a new body over the old firewall and front floor pan
