Body Welded in Under a Week

Good morning Merrick,

I would like to show you what my husband has been doing this past week. This is were it was last night when I came home to fix dinner. He's already down there this morning, so I imagine when I get down there the rear end might be totally complete. He's a sick man...lol.

I would also like to say that the pieces are beautiful and you have some mad skills because the rolls are masterpieces! Thank you again for helping one of his dreams come true.

Enjoy the pics, we'll probably have a few more to send since we're still in the beginning stages of the build. It is amazing watching it come together!

Thank you to all our patient customers as we finally located the new location. All the big equipment is moved in and powered up. With the tough economy we decided to downsized location to continue to hold down costs even though raw material costs have increased by as much as much as 400% or more.

Zombie Apocalypse? No Problem With An Urban Gorilla 4x4 Body!

Nothing would ruin a perfectly good day like a sudden swarm of hungry zombies breaking your windows and reaching through for a juicy bite of your arm. However, nothing would transform that day into something awesome more than having your own Urban Gorilla 4x4 parked in the garage ready to be unleashed. Here is why:

Huge Storage Capacity - Leaving home for a few days of vacation is difficult enough, but with the potentially huge capacity of an Urban Gorilla, especially if you've used the 6-door body, you'll have plenty of space for the kids, family dog, guns, grub and gear. You can even pile in a neighbor or two or three, if you like them, of course.
Break Through Power - While you've been packing, the zombies have been amassing at your doors. Fortunately, with a 3/16" x 7 gauge plate steel bumper twice as thick as an SUV frame, backed by the powerful donor vehicle you built your Urban Gorilla around, you'll be able to plow through the garage door and gathered zombies with ease. We do recommend engaging your 4 wheel drive for good measure.
High Clearance - With the huge wheel wells of the Urban Gorilla body, you were able to put on some oversized tires that gave your vehicle easy lift without complex aftermarket modifications, and good thing you did. The pile of zombies you just rode over to get out of your garage won't be the only obstacle on your path. Downed power lines and abandoned compact Japanese cars still lay in your path!
Ambush Proof - Occasionally you may have to stop, but with the durable steel body and load bearing roof, those zombies who just jumped off of the overpass onto your 4x4 will not be getting through. They look so bruised and disappointed that this wasn't a typical aluminum can roof. Too bad for them.
Increased Range - Because you were able to build an Urban Gorilla on the 4x4 of your choice, you could choose a powerful but efficient engine, not the stock gas guzzler that left that other SUV guy stopped at the edge of town out of fuel and running for cover. Fortunately he looks like he's in pretty good shape.
Serviceability - Good luck finding an auto dealer open during a crisis to replace some expensive part that went bad and will have to be ordered from overseas. Fortunately with your custom 4x4 build that won't be a problem. You know your ride inside and out and can easily find what you need from the abandoned vehicles on your path--keeping your 4x4 in tip-top shape for the months and years to come.
Fear Factor - Zombies aren't the only threat you'll find out there. Roving bandits looking for vulnerable minivans filled with free food are on the loose. When they see your bad machine come around the corner, however, they're going to think twice. In fact, they may decide to give up their evil ways altogether.

We could go on and on, but you get the idea. In our humble and educated opinion, if you want to survive the zombie apocalypse (and maybe enjoy it a little) there is no better option than having your own custom configured Urban Gorilla!

Urban Gorilla Relocates to a New Facility

We are excited to announce that we have moved into new facilities in Salt Lake City, Utah. One building is dedicated entirely to composites and fiberglass. Another building is dedicated to metal fabrication. The new facilities offer precision manufacturing with a 6-axis CNC Press Brake and 7x22 foot CNC Plasma with Higher Definition capabilities. With all of the increased capabilities in-house, we can now dramatically decrease lead-times, especially on custom builds. These improvements are to better serve our valued customers and to keep our commitment of continuous improvement.

Urban Gorilla Awarded Victory over General Motors!

For five years General Motors has attempted to shut us down, but a judge has issued a final ruling that Urban Gorilla may continue to sell its popular Combat and Slant Back bodies! As part of an agreement we will no longer be producing our pickup and wagon models to honor General Motors' intellectual property.

We've felt like David up against Goliath through this ordeal and are grateful for the outpouring of support! Now that this is officially over we are excited to be able to continue bringing great products to the market and offering our customers the opportunity to build the greatest 4x4's in the world!
